Five years ago we found a treasured spot in New Harbor on the Damariscotta Peninsula, a haven created by Tony and Sally Capodilupo. From my husband's first phone conversation with Sally, we knew we had found an ideal place. We have enjoyed the tennis court, the pool, the Jacuzzi, the gardens, and journeys to the surrounding countryside for kayaking and bird-watching and seafood lunches. But most of all, we have loved the beauty and serenity of our house at The Moorings (The Carriage House*), where my husband has been able to carry on his writing, most recently his book The White House Looks South: Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Lyndon B. Johnson, and where I have delighted in pursuing the photographer's craft.
